Interesting question, dear reader! It occurred to us while we're posting, but a quick survey of the Internet yielded no "yes" or "no" answer.

Judging from some comments and FAQ's about this and other Islamic banking stories, we've inferred that anyone can bank in an Islamic bank.

Perhaps what makes the bank "Islamic" is the principles by which the bank does business, not the principles by which its investors live.

If we ever get a definitive answer, we'll post it!
